Goodwill 

Another well-known organization that will pick up your donated items is Goodwill. Founded in 1902 with over 3,300 stores in the U.S. and Canada. Your items will be brought to a nearby Goodwill store and sold at a great discount to those in need.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976 and helps provide decent and affordable housing to those in need worldwide. Their ReStores are ideal places to make a furniture donation.

Pickup Please, is a program that supports the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA). They aren’t as widespread as some of these other organizations but they still offer a great solution for your furniture and clothing donation.

AMVETS National Service Foundation

AMVETS has been serving U.S. veterans since 1948. The organization operates in 22 states with physical stores and donation pickups.

  • Bedding 
  • Bicycles 
  • TVs, computers and exercise equipment five years old and newer

Go to https://amvetsnsf.org/thrift-stores/ to locate your state. If AMVETS is in your area you will find a number or website link that you can use to arrange your donation for pickup. Your donation helps support U.S. war veterans and other charitable efforts. 

The Arc 

The Arc has been supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1950 with over 600 state and local chapters throughout the U.S. 

What they accept:
